What About the Feathers?

Feathers are a natural part of eating whole prey and provide indigestible animal fiber, adding another element that's typically missing from conventional raw meals. Because this quail is truly whole prey, we leave them right where nature put them.

You may see visible feather pieces throughout the grind—that's completely normal.

Feeding Guidance

Ground Whole Prey Quail can be fed as part of a varied raw diet and provides the many different parts of the prey animal together in one convenient grind.

Because the entire quail is included, you'll find more than the meat, bone, and secreting organs found in a typical whole-animal grind. The feathers, digestive tract, skin, connective tissues, and other parts of the bird remain just as they would in whole prey.

Introduce gradually if your carnivore is new to whole prey or feathered foods.

Storage & Handling

Keep frozen until ready to use. Thaw in the refrigerator before feeding. Stays good in the refrigerator for about 3-5 days after thawing.

Feed raw. Do not cook, as this product contains ground bone.
