Feeding for Pets with EPI

For pets with EPI, a general starting point is to feed raw pancreas at approximately 10% of the total diet.

For example, if your pet eats 1 pound of food per day, approximately 1.6 ounces of pancreas would make up 10% of the daily diet.

Individual needs can vary, so the amount may need to be adjusted based on your pet's response and the guidance of your veterinarian.

Why Raw Pancreas?

The pancreas produces enzymes that help break down fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. Pets with EPI do not produce adequate amounts of these digestive enzymes on their own.

Raw pancreas is traditionally used as a whole-food source of pancreatic enzymes and can be fed alongside the rest of the diet.

Storage & Handling

Keep frozen until ready to use. Thaw in the refrigerator before feeding. Stays good in the refrigerator for about 3-5 days after thawing.

Feed raw. Do not cook, as this product contains ground bone.
