We want to let you know that our whole ground chicken products can change sometimes, somewhat drastically. Our usual supply comes from cage-free spent layer hens for efficient egg collection, ensuring consistent stock availability. However, we sometimes experience a few months where these hens are not available.
During these periods, we source a special variety of chickens. These chickens come from a wider range of breeds, specifically raised to preserve their breed lines. They are cage-free and produce a more gamey product with a distinct taste and smell. Different breeds can also make the texture a bit different from batch to batch. Some carnivores prefer this variety, while others might not find it as appealing.
Please be aware that the chicken you receive throughout the year may be quite different from one batch to another. If you notice any differences when opening a package for your pet's dinner, do not be alarmed.
