Our dogs do well eating all together. I generally watch them while they eat, and as they finish I let each one back in the house so the others can finish their meal in peace. Naturally, they have a pack order, and will sometimes try to steal food from those lower in the order. Rodeo, our alpha dog, can simply look at any of the lower dogs from 20 feet away, growl, and they will immediately drop their food and get out of the way! It's quite impressive to watch, but of course I don't let him get away with it. :o) Terra, is our hoarder, ( and alpha female ) and will collect as many pieces of meat, bones, or toys as she can get from the others and guards them. The look on her face is hysterical, but then "Mom" (me) comes along and redistributes it all, and ends her fun little game.
